What Happens After Your First Visit?

If treatment is recommended, we’ll schedule your next appointment to gather diagnostic records. In many cases, we may even complete this during your first visit. These records allow Dr. Pohlman to design a precise, customized treatment plan and may include:

• Digital models or impressions
• Panoramic and cephalometric X-rays
• A detailed analysis to determine the best course of care

Starting Your Treatment

Once your records have been reviewed, Dr. Pohlman will present your personalized treatment plan and answer any remaining questions. After you’re ready to move forward, we’ll schedule your first treatment appointment.

At this visit, your braces or aligners will be placed, which typically takes about 30–60 minutes. Our team will make sure you feel comfortable and confident every step of the way.

Visits During Treatment

Regular visits every 4–8 weeks are essential to keep your treatment progressing smoothly. We’ll work with your schedule to make appointments as convenient as possible. If something comes up, just let us know, we’re always happy to help adjust your appointment.

We also recommend continuing regular checkups with your family dentist every six months to maintain optimal oral health throughout your orthodontic treatment.
